Animal Trap Loan

To request an animal trap for with-in the city limits of the Town of Atlantic Beach individuals should call the police department’s communications center at 252-726-2523 to see if a trap is available.

 If a trap is available you will need to come to the police department located at 125 W. Fort Macon Rd. and see the telecommunicator to sign for it.  Remember,  you will need a driver’s license to sign for the trap, this allows for proper identification.  You will be given instruction on how the set the trap.

 After the trap has been set-up it will be monitored and cared for by Carteret County Animal Control.  Since county animal control is not available on weekends or holidays, as a precaution, should you be leaving town during the week and especially on the weekends the trap will need to be sprung and reset when you return home.  This is to avoid any possibility of an animal being left in the trap for an extended period of time.
